I went to a big box hardware store yesterday, one thing I
picked up was a toolbox. Nice big one, trying to organize
all the tools, nails, etc kicking around downstairs.
At checkout the cashier was so apologetic, I have to check
in the toolbox, they make me do it, I get in trouble if I don't ...
I have never been less offended. I can imagine people sneak
stuff out in toolboxes all the time.
Yet at first it was an affront when Costco would check my cart.
Not sure what the difference is, surely this place was flat out
telling me they thought I might have hid something in there.
