Here's some stats: 68% of americans are in favor of keeping the gun law that's
going to expire at midnite in place. Murder rates by these weapons is down by
2/3's, in every country that has implemented bans murder rates plummeted.
These weapons are for KILLING PEOPLE, and have no other use. PERIOD! There is
no "olympic machine gunning contest". Answer one question then, what will you
shoot with an assault rifle if they are made legal? Again, what "shooting
sport" do you use an assault rifle for? They are not banned because of
criminals, or because they are favorites of drug dealers they are banned
because they KILL PEOPLE, and have NO OTHER USE! Criminal activity DID NOT
skyrocket in England, Canada, or anywhere else that guns were removed from the
hands of the public, the crime rates fell in every single country that's done
that. Some advocate arming everyone. Taken a good look at your neighbors
lately? Do you really want them poessing automatic weapons? The murder rate
would quadruple overnight. We WOULD ban a car that was specifically designed to
kill humans, and arrest the designer/manufacterer with murder. These ARE NOT
defensive weapons, they are designed to kill people, totally unneeded in this
day and age. And this terrorit threat that many speak of is a figment of your
(and GWB the head chimp) imagination.
