I have a trek 7000 hybrid that I use to commute to work. Does anyone know
if there are fenders that will fit this bike, and if so how hard are they
    to mount?

Zefal, Planet Bike's Freddy Fenders, and SKS's are all fine and will mount
to your bike with little hassle. 45 minutes tops the first time you do it,
10 minutes each subsequent bike you do.

You'll want the 700c size in the 45-50mm width.

The Freddy Fenders are pretty common (and quite decent), you can probably
find them at your local bike shop--if they're the type of shop that
doesn't carry fenders, act shocked and aghast and say "Next thing you'll
tell me you're out of bells!!" .P
