Me too.

I think I would prefer somewhere I hadn't been before recently.
Fair enough. I have noticed though, that on ridge walks, many people
are only interested in doing the part of the ridge that includes major
summits (i.e. ones in lists). I won't mention the Nantlle Ridge,
oops...

summits except the highest
It's quite a large area, a bit bigger than the Carneddau. There are
only a handful of summits over 2000ft, but loads over 500m. Approx 21
summits over 500m with at least 50m of ascent. Carneddau only has 12.
So although it's lower, it's lumpier.

in the same era I cannot be sure of any summits there.
Much the same can be said of the Cwmdeuddwr Hills. Only a handful over
2000ft but loads over 500m. That's a very large area too, depending on
how you define the boundaries. It can easily be split into three areas
and even the central area is bigger than Plynlimon and the Carneddau,
probably the largest area of wild land in Wales, over twice the size of
Plynlimon in total. Not as lumpy though, only around 19 500-50m summits
in a much larger area. Very moorish and boggy in many parts.

It was. Without consulting the map I took a guess that it was about
1000 feet. If I had known it was nearly 1500 feet I might not have
attempted it which, as it happens, would have been a great pity as I
got all the way to the top without a significant stop. (Must give the
Mars bar the credit though).
You've done it before though?
