    And finally, as the instructions state, don't be shy about cracking the
    large end of the egg. It needs help getting started.

    I think if I could be more consistent with the first key, I could get it
    to work most of the time. The times I have the most trouble are on those
    eggs that I would have trouble peeling by hand, too. The ones that would
    peel real easy by hand (where they almost come off in a couple pieces)
    are ones that I can get to work with the Eggstractor.

    Far as I can tell the best results come from adding apple cider vinegar to
    the water, cooling sufficiently and finding the end of the egg (blunt or
    pointed) that shows you the fine skin-like membrane inside the shell. If you
    work from the end that lets you get beneath that membrane and shell the egg
    under running water, 90% of the time you'll get good results. It takes a
    minute or two. But the egg is perfectly shelled.
