Some of us discuss ideas rather than personalities. Like, maybe some
ideas have been mentioned by more than one prior poster, among other
reasons.
Since, in contrast to my usual postings, this IS a personal answer,
why don't you learn how to follow a newsgroup and stop bugging those
of us who have learned how?
Hello and apologies-- I'm a newbie here. I have followed this entire
discussion with interest.
Since I'm just getting oriented, I am interested in any
ethics/etiquette info pertaining to this group if anyone can brief me
or send me a pointer to where it's located.
And here's my contribution to the discussion, for what it's worth: Much
of what happens in a given individual's metabolism seems to be a
combination of overall health and genetics. Therefore any one fitness
regimen or diet (to state the obvious) is not workable for just anyone.
If you have a history of GERD, or you are diabetic or pre-diabetic, or
are sedentary, or have any number of conditions (whether lifestyle
based, health based, or heredity based), you simply need to determine
what works best (with your doc or through trial and error) regarding
calorie intake and at what times of the day. The one thing I would
hazard to guess is true of most people, however, is that calorie intake
is going to be metabolized fairly well if you have developed lean
muscle throughout your body, since lean muscle helps your body burn fat
24/7. So, regardless of your activity on a given day, if you have a
strong core and lean muscles rather than an excess of fat, you can
probably eat any time of day or night if your body is telling you it
needs calories. True?
