I'm interested in this issue of "ghost writing", so how about you point out
which of the articles deals specifically with that issue and I'd be happy to
read it and reply.

If you think that scientific investigators with no ties to
the drug companies are much better, you are wrong. They
certainly have major biases, and also are under pressure
to produce results to continue to get government grants.

The journals are also to blame; studies with negative
results are rarely published,

Herman, you have hit upon a major problem here, and it extends to all
fields. You simply cannot publish a study which says, "I tried this for 15
years and it does NOT work." I asked a major figure in ***** at a
conference who had a negative finding why the conclusion was not simply "The
theory is wrong," not "My data must be wrong." Theory always wins out, as
in "HRT SAVES LIVES," when on fact it was reducing the national life
expectancy.
