I'm on a special (low-carb) diet that just doesn't seem to be working. That got me depressed enough to start using certain drugs again, and now the cycle has come full circle. Anybody with suggestions to get me out of this rut?

Forget diet. Do an hour of cardio daily -- build up the intensity as your condition improves. Your body will change in one year.
