I don't have any answers for you but you have piqued my curiosity. I don't
have any experience with the adapters but I do have a bit of a warning
regarding nt kernels (think winNT, win2000, winXP) and emulation for
things like serial ports - success may largely depend not on the adapter
but on the software. In 'real mode' applications you could access the
serial ports simply by reading/writing a specific address in memory
something that is simply a no go in recent versions of windows. I don't
know about MM (but what with the general crappieness of the software in
general I have some thoughts...) but it may, or may not, be that any (or
no) adapter will work.
