Well, my spouse bought me MC 8 as an X-Mas Gift. I'm very happy with it, I just which it had more options for printing entire cookbooks.

Wanting recipe software with more features than Mastercook 6 ( a Christmas present one year), I downloaded and tried Meal Master, Big Oven, Cook'n, AccuChef, Home Cooking and Now Your Cooking. To my surprise, I liked Mastercook the best. While I didn't like Meal Master at all, and I really wanted to since it was free, the others were pretty good, just didn't have all the features I wanted, and MC6 has most of them. I'm thinking of upgrading to MC 8, for the PDA and WEB import cabability.
Any other software recommendations?
Ok, so where do I pick up MC8? I did pick up the valuesoft version a while back (don't know the version number) but it had less capability than the older versions had!
I need to be able to import all my old MC recipes and would love the PDA interface. Does it also import and export reciepies like they used to? The valuesoft version wouldn't bring in my old stuff without me doing each one manually!

loki
I've had MasterCook since version 3 and have never had a problem importing all of the cookbooks from 1 version to the next. I just installed version 8 and really like how easy it is to add recipes from the internet. I believe it does import/export to a PDA but I'm not sure how that works since I don't have a PDA. As far as capacity is concerned, I have 42 cookbooks with a total of 45,000+ recipes and haven't exhausted it's capacity. MC 8 does suggest that you install it into a separate folder but during installation it asks if you want your cookbooks, recipes imported from MCx. Gigi
