It often goes up at first, then back down. It's not clear from your post just what the timeline for all this was. Have you been low carbing steadily for 7 months? When did you have the cholesterol test?

I have been low carbing steadily for 7 months, maybe 6 months. My previous blood test was done a year ago.

I would hold off. Over the last two years, my HDL has risen each time. My TC did go up, from 150 to about 170. Nonetheless, my TC/HDL ratio improved, my triglycerides improved, my fasting blood glucose improved, etc.
