Amazingly ( I hope I'm wrong) there's only a 3 settings for self delays, 2
sec, 10 sec and remote. I was hoping for a programmably delay!
Yeah we'd love a programmable delay, programmable bracketing and a
load of other things user configurable, but camera makers are stuck on
some things.

When I used my old Canon A40 on auto it was set to - 1 stop exposure
compensation. I'd then brighten anything too dark in PS but 99 percent

This is another example of camera makers being stuck in their
thinking. A modern digital camera could set the exposure based on a
percentage of pixels at white level.
