    Little nitpick: the researcher actually attempts, through experimentation
    or other systematic observation, to *disprove* the hypothesis. If he or
    she can't do so, and others can't either, then the hypothesis becomes
    provisionally accepted (the provision being that it has to be thrown out or
    modified if some new evidence can be found to disprove it in the future) as
    true.

    more descriptive..not like clinical trials of meds or procedures....
