Are you sure you can only ride on the weekends? How about riding to work? If
you live some horrendous distance between work and home, can you ride
part-way and drive the rest?
How about riding to the post office, or to the drug store, or all those
other places that you might go to? Yes, it's a hassle to carry a week's
worth of groceries on a bike, but if all you're doing is running to the
store to pick up one or two items, riding works just fine.
