    I've used those in the past. In fact I think my current brake blocks are
    Wilko blocks. The only disadvantage is that they wear out rather quickly,
    or so it seems to me.

    Not just you. I seem to remember thinking what a bargain when I bought them
    and not being quite so impressed when I had to replace them rather rapidly.
