BMW driver pulls out in front of me from the left. He tries to 'force'
his way into the line of traffic (coming the other way) but because of
his lack of manners no driver will let him in. I have to brake because
he is completely blocking the lane. I 'allow' my front wheel to push a
small dent into his front door

OK, so he's in the wrong. But damaging the guys car is not on. I wonder
how he'll react to every other cyclist he meets from now on?

How much would it cost to repair a small dent in a BMW 5 series door?
    (rhetorical)

It'd probably just push out, so not much.

Perhaps if a cyclist makes an error and drops his bike infront of his car he
will let the car gently roll over the bike?
