please share with me your experience and what you dry, how you use it, the

I have a Nesco. Does everything I need, but that is not much. It was a
good value for what we paid for it at Wal-Mart. I like making fruit

I'm sure there is better, but the price is higher. Depends on your use if

It might be perfect for me. I just plan to dry bananas, apples, tomatoes.
    That's about it.
    Thanks,

You may be disappointed in your home dried bananas. The commercial ones are
dipped in sugar water & other stuff. My home dried get dipped in lemon water to
prevent darkening and never seem to dry to crispy. It may help to dry bananas
not all the way ripe. But then they are not so sweet either. Home dried
mushrooms OTH are fabulous, get crispy, and keep forever.

I use a little honey in the dip too. No, they are not as crisp as the
commercial ones, but have better flavor in most cases.
