Just today I learned that I have a growing nodule on the place where half of my thyroid was removed due to adenoma 10 years ago. The nodule is hypoechoic and is about 1x1x1 cm.
My grandpa had thyroid cancer in 1969, so it must be hereditary. He says he still has my histology report from my surgery 10 years ago, it said the adenoma was benign (to say benign adenoma is redundant)

I'm sorry you get to ride the Cancer Scare Coaster. In another reply post you mentioned a needle biopsy. It's good for you to keep thinking ahead to what's next. My most fervent hope is that it is once again benign. In the meantime hold onto your wife and son.
I believe these growths go slowly. Good luck to you. Jackie <[email hidden]> wrote in message
