How long does it take to recover from such a long run?
Do people use paid time off for this?

Sunday and Monday were quite sore, but I could get around and work just
    fine.
After that, it was a gradual improvement day-by-day.

I expect to feel pretty normal by Thursday.

Here's what I did after the race:

    Sat: Race.
    Sun: (very sore) off.
Mon: (sore) hiked 90 minutes in the mountains. Max soreness in the PM.
Tue: 1 hour hike (less sore)
Wed: 2.5 hours, hike up 2000' in 1:30, jog down very easy (no soreness)
Thu: 1 hour, 80% slow running, rest walking.
Fri: 1 hour slow running, 10% walking, 800' climb.
Today: 3.5 hours run. Easy, 3500' climb, jog down. Quads slightly sore at
    the end.

  2. you are probably wealthy since you don't really have to work and you can
    exercise whole day
    :-)
