I was in N.O. last week and had a video shoot at the correctional
facility in St. Bernard Parish. While there I cruised up to the top of
the levee and noted that the water was maybe 10 feet from the top of a
30 foot levee and wondered what would happen if Katrina shifted further
west.
Now I know. I hope those folks are alright.

Hindsight is, of course, 20/20 but one does think that a city below
sea level would be pretty fanatical about its levees. I suspect a lot
more will be said on the subject in the months and years to come.
