David Martin ([email hidden]) gurgled happily,
sounding much like they were saying :

    >>> Could he not have looked, assessed it was safe to proceed then
    >>> got hit by a car travelling at 90 feet per second?

    >> Didn't look very well, did he? Or was he so short-sighted that he
    >> couldn't clearly see 90ft?

If there's some [censored] barrelling at him?

As Fast As His Little Legs Will Carry Him.

I expect him to leap for the friggin' pavement if necessary - even
if he does end up rolling along on the ground.

It'll hurt less than being hit by some [censored] in a car.

You're assuming that he's physically capable of moving fast?

If he wasn't able to move fast due to disability, surely he would have
picked a safer place to cross?

Perhaps that "safer place to cross" is beyond his walking capability.
