I will admit that you have to keep your wits about you when you are hiking
or you can get into an awful lot of trouble real fast. I have seen hikers
doing things that just dumbfounded me, like sliding down snow banks in the
mountains without having any idea at all of what they might go crashing
into. I have seen hikers walk perilously close to roaring creeks where one
misstep would mean their death. Same thing around water falls and high
cliffs. Let's face it, some folks do not have the brains they were born
with. There are dozens of way to get yourself killed just from a simple walk
in the wilderness.
But still, there is nothing more dangerous than riding your bike down a
steep rocky slope in the mountains. You truly have to be crazy to want to do
that!
