We have updated our website to include a page for the white villages of
Andalucia - our holiday destination for March 2005.

    Looked interesting walking.

Clare and I walk in Andalucia each Christmas, based in Calahonda, and have
    looked at
driving out to Tolox for a day walk. Bit of a drive, but on my 1:50000 map
it looks as if there could be some good circular wlks.

Also, you mention Torrecilla. We walked up that peak Christmas 2003 from
Cortijo de los Quejigales. Bit of an hairy drive from the Rhondo/St Pedro
road, but well worth it for the walk to the top. Even had a bit of snow
near the summit. Stunning views all around, even possible to see Gibraltar
.... and that is some distance away.

Other villages we walk from are Istan, Mijas, Enterrios (inland from
Fuengarola), El Burgo on the eastern approach to Rhonda, Coin ... all very
    pretty places.

Didn't find any bad links either.

  2. We really enjoyed the area and will probably do a return visit with
    Spanish Steps.

Peter (I think it was Peter - the grelims have attacked my PC and my
memory!) had several walks around Tolox.

If you e-mailed him via the site above then he would probably be OK
with giving you an idea of the Tolox walks he has done - it may be a
while before they reply as they may be leading holidays at the moment.

Would have done a longer reply but one of the grelims has taken Dennis'
application for his own job (!) and I'm being called on for my
    technical skills (oops!)

  3. The grelims have got me, I did do a reply, honest guv!
