Then there is a copyright issue. The OS will say they have copyright in the map and any information derived from it. To be copyright free you need to collect the information yourself.
Personally, I don't think we really have to worry about maps. I think we can assume that most people will go out and buy the map! But a disclaimer on the site could make it very clear that it is unwise to venture onto a walk without a proper map. Indeed, no map at all might be better than having one of those dodgy freehand drawings!
