The alpha form of Vitamin E in red blood cells was lower in children with the skin disorder Dermatitis. The reserchers believe they know to little to understand why this is. They think the skin layers may be too thin to hold the proper amount of vitamin E. Vitamin E is used by many to improve skin health and this is another example of skin damage in the absence of vitamin E. Vitamin E is very safe and can be used externally as well as internally.
