First, I really want to thank everyone who took the time to offer advice
and support. What a great group, especially for usenet - lol.

Tomorrow will be my 7th day. So far so good, still no cravings and no
slipups. Tomorrow will be a test as I'll be doing a trade show all day.
In the past I haven't had the time to leave my table, so I've taken chips
and cracker sandwiches and such to munch all day. It'll be a 15-hour day
and will be interesting to see how I do with cut veggies and string cheese
and a handful of peanuts and my gallons of water 🙂.

A quick question: Is it common to get light-headed? Only yesterday and
today it's been happening, maybe I need more protein? Just a guess...I've
been pretty much doing equal parts protein (meats, some cheese but mostly
    a
    little for flavor) and veggies.

At any rate, reading all the posts on all the threads it's so nice to see
so many helpful folk 🙂. My provider was down for a while I was without
access for most of the day, and was surprised to find that I really missed
    this group! 🙂

Congratulations on your first week! I've been LC for about a year now, and
love it. As time goes by you adjust to naturally eating the foods that are
associated with a low carb lifestyle. You know, just over a year ago I
bought a box of instant mashed potatos. It still sits unopened in the
pantry. I keep thinking someday I might want some, but it hasn't happened
yet. Might as well just give it to someone.

As for lightheadedness, I got the impression you are drinking lots of water.
That's good, I do the same. But if you are not getting enough sodium in
your diet you might be diluting your body electrolytes - which can lead to
"dizzy spells." Since most people do get plenty of sodium in their diets,
this would most likely happen if you had not eaten for awhile but had drunk
    a lot of water.
