Has anyone ever heard of this? Start losing weight, and the raging

This happens every single time I start losing weight -- big, big
increase in libido. To the point where it's actually a problem in
concentrating on routine things and getting through the day. I'm not
sure I can stand it anymore, but I'm also sick of trying to fix it by
overeating. It's getting me very very down and vulnerable. I am

Curious situation. You haven't said how you're losing the weight, which
may be an issue (some weight-loss pills work by boosting testosterone
production, which would increase libido). Also, does the libido
increase occur due to actual loss of weight, or is it simply starting
    the weight-loss procedure?

  2. first, thanks to those who've been kind enough to reply seriously.

I've just been generally cutting back on portions, increasing the
proportion of fruit-veg, fiber and lean protein, and stepping up the
physical activity. I'm pretty healthy overall, except for the weight,
with no chronic health problems. I made some overal diet improvements a
couple years ago, and my current diet is no great departure from that
apart from the portion-reduction, but I've been an overeater and
sometime-binger my whole life. I take no weight loss drugs, although
there was a short period when I was an adolescent when I did. I do take
a multivitamin/mineral and salmon oil caps (part of the
    keep-cholesterol-down plan).

I do not know what causes the libido increase, I only know that every
time I begin to have some success in dropping a few pounds--about a
week into it, the libido shoots way way up. I have noticed this since I
was in my thirties. You know what fixes it? A large meal, a quart of
ice cream, whatever--eating to some level of satiety (did I use that
right? you know what I mean). I'm not kidding. I can count on it. I can
only suspect that there's something to this that's keeping me a fat
    binger.

I'm sure some women would kill to be this kind of state, walking around
all day in some manic state of super arousal. But, if you're me and in
my situation, it's just murder. I don't relish the idea of adding drugs
like prozac, but if i find no other solution for this in the
short-term, I may have to. It's making me feel like a silly,
    addle-brained mess.

Not me! That would be too much of a good thing. But I sure wouldn't mind
raising my libido a bit. So far, losing weight hasn't worked for me, but
I've still got at least 5 kg to go - do you (general you) think that
would make a difference? Is there anything else I could try?
