Based on what you've said above, I would say that you don't watn
suspension, especially in your price bracket (in an earlier thread,
someone who knows about these things suggested that you need to spend
minimum £1,000 to get a bike with suspension that's worth having).

As I understand it, the rule of thumb is that a road bike is better for
light off-road use than an off-road bike is for road use. Not being an
experienced user of off-road bikes I can't really confirm that, but I
get on fine with my road bike on the local cycle trail, which I think
counts as "light off road" - and isn't even that light in places.
The Cyclone may well be perfect for you - ask your LBS if they'll let
you give it a trial run.
