I have found out through trial and tribulation. If I'm climbing it goes
one way..using gravity it goes the other. My advice (as I have found in
adjusting mine) is to use the extremes in different riding environments
and adjust accordingly until the ride feels "right". Do this a few
times and you can just reach down when the terrain changes and make the
proper adjustments on the fly.
