Just get yourself booked into the Achintee Bunkhouse. That is actually
on the start/end of the 'Tourist Path', so a very welcome sight after a
hard day. You can even get a decent meal and a pint there. Your day out
should be great. Did similar a couple of years back. Ledge Route easy,
but goes through some very interesting territory.

I once fell off it - narrow section, but got the axe in before
stretchingthe rope.. Yes , interesting territory.

I nearly fell off it somewhere just after coming out of the gully at the
bottom but I was going the wrong way having not read the route guide too
closely and thinking I was supposed to be somehow edging myself around
some outward bulging rocks on what was already a very narrow ledge above
a big drop ("aha that must be the ledge in the title" I guessed). I
figured the rock climbers below might be a bit shocked if I suddenly
shot by them at 120mph so I stopped trying too hard to get around it
long enough to look behind me and notice the more obvious route that
fitted the guide book.
