    ALL TOP POSTERS ARE IDIOTS!

I tried that approach for a good long time and the evidence is there to
see. I don't even mind the NG going off topic but I have reached my limit
with one individual in particular. In this one case, I'm not worried about
missing anything important and I'm sure the volumes that I am missing are
    better off missed.

Will anyone on these newsgroups miss Jeff Grippe if he were to drop dead?
Hardly! He is nothing if not a walking paradigm of every liberal nostrum
that has ever failed in the past century.

But he is a fool if he thinks he can now say anything that flits into his
dunderhead without getting a riposte from the Great One. He had better not
get off-topic with his liberal [censored] as Ed Dolan the Great will know how to
deal with him and his noxious views.

Well a certain racist, sexist, very frequent poster has finally
demonstrated in one of his recent postings that he is clearly on the
other side of sanity. If there is no hope of a rational discussion then
I don't need to have the discussion. I also don't need to read racist
and sexist drivel. So my filter is in place. There could be 50 replies
from said person and I wouldn't see any of them. I also don't have to
see his postings about what a wonderful and saintly human being he
    considers himself to be.

Well I tend to agree with you in general. I see no reason for some of the
things that get posted to some newsgroups. But mostly I just use an
adaptive filter, the human mind. I find it works just as good or better
than technical filters. Besides sometimes people who post dribble also
post things I consider worth reading and wouldn't want to miss those
    posts.

    Ken
