My girlfriend is taking care of me today (back isn't happy right now) and she made me 15-bean soup today.
I like it too! There are lots of variations. I cook the soup until it's very, very thick... you can hardly see any whole beans. I just add onion, tomato, garlic and a finely diced stalk of celery - some salt near the end. Meat is optional, as is a sprinkle of Tobasco directly in the bowl of soup (I'm the only one who likes that kind of heat). My preferred starch is crusty bread on the side. --
