  1. Anyone else see the last Ray Mears in the series last night?
What was the make of top was wearing with the moleskin jeans?
    Looked good.
But I do like his way of living off the land in Britain -
    bring along some salami (*).
Actually, I had never thought of cooking a salami over the campfire,
so I might give it a try sometime. Looked good.

(*) In total fairness, if he had trapped a hedgehog and baked it in
mud there would have been an outcry in the newspapers.

  2. I am a great fan of Ray Mears. His programmes are entertaining and
informative. Nonetheless it just crosses my mind that for instance in
the broadcast last week about the Sami people of Lapland that as soon
as the cameras stopped rolling they left the Reindeer hide tent and
the chewing and manipulating of hides to go back to their mega-warm
houses and sit down to watch Crocodile Dundee dubbed into Swedish!
