same reason as why he only came in 9.th on the mt. Ventoux TT
by his own mistake he ended op havein' only cocacola to drink within
the last 10km. Acording to himself he had to ease off during the last
7km on the TT (owtherwise he estimated that he would have finished
within a minute from Mayo). However the cocacola from the day before
still caused him stomache problems.
watch out for him on Alpe D'huez next month!

I don't believe it. Read my post, Dekker the Elder wrote on his website: he
got dropped to no longer be a threat and win the next day. And presto, "Au
4,5 km, deux coureurs sont en tête : Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank) et Ivan
Basso (Team CSC)." Dekker is a joker, but also an honest writer.

The dope on the street was Rasmussen was losing time so he could attack
today. At this moment of posting he and Basso have a lead of around 7'40.
