What makes you believe that riders need dope? Is it because you don't have
the slightest idea about performance enhancing drugs and how they work or is
it because you use crank and crystal and believe that's what doping is all

Ironic that such a gift should come to Disco in this way.

    dumbass,

it's ironic that a saiz rider getting popped (heras) gave rabo their
last GT win (menchov) and now a rabo rider getting pulled (before
popping) gives the lead to a saiz rider.

    dumbass,

yeah and what if santa claus fought the easter bunny ?

maybe in your universe it makes sense that rabo would prevent their
rider (who they believe is clean) from winning the tour.

rasmussen didn't get pulled (and fired) just for lying about his
whereabouts. the UCI knows rasmussen is dirty and they want to avoid
the embarrassment of having a doping scandal while he's in yellow or
    after he's won the tour.

If the majority of the public doesn't belive it, then it doesn't matter.

Anyone lieing for his emplyer and makeing the employer take a public
stand based on those lies will get fired - if not initially then at
least when/uf the lies are exposed.

What the hell are you talking about? From the comments, Rassmussen was
TRAINING in Italy. I'm sure that he was running physical tests for Ferrari
or Cecchini. The real question is did he dope or was he using the world's
foremost training coaches straight up? I tend to believe the former but
nevertheless I still believe that you have to prove a man guilty for him to
be guilty. That doesn't seem like a universal standard here among the lyjnch
    mob.

Rabobank isn't about to stand for any smirch upon thier own reputation if
they can avoid it. Even if Rassmussen was completely straight in his
training and he was only there secretly because Rabobank wouldn't want him
within 100 km of Ferrari you understand that the team couldn't take the
chance. Rabobank must be the longest term sponsor now and any team that
would gamble with that is pretty stupid wouldn't you say?

The new genration might be clean, but pro cyclings major problem is
spain - spanish riders, riders in spanish teams and forrign riders with
residence in spain are the ones to watch out for. Nothing has changed.

It used to be Italy but they have started their cleaining (in fact
    they began before 98)

Yep. He has been dismissed, effective immediately, by his employer for
lying about where he was. The team (riders?) is still in chambers about

Hint - it doesn't matter in the least to the high school dropouts telling us
about the "doping" problem in cycling. And most of them probably have their
    own doping problems.

  14. Was I calling you a name? No.

Have you yet said whether you think only 3 guys are "dirty" in the tour this
year? No. I really would like to hear your opinion on this. But
apparently you are not going to tell us.

Actually, I really don't want to think that there is rampant cheating going
on. (It ruins it for me to think to watch if I think it's the case.) But, to
me the evidence points to it. Whole teams pull themselves out of the race. A
rider is pulled even when he has not tested positive. Several top riders
were banned from the tour last year and this year. Last year's winner tested
positive. Etc. To me, it's naive to think that there are only a few "bad
    apples"

All riders train extremely hard, and are performing near the top of their
capabilities. The additional few percent they get from, say a Vino like
"transfusion" makes a big difference. It did for Vino. Seemed like it did
for Landis last year though I don't understand how the type of doping he did
(some sort of testosterone) would help him overnight.

So in your what makes Discovery or Barloworld are definitely clean? They are
competing against some other teams that are cheating, yet they are up near
the top. Is it that their training techniques are better than the other
teams? Or is it their race strategy? It just doesn't add up for me.

I respect your right to view it differently and come to a different
conclusion. But your personal namecalling, that I don't respect.

winning the tour would be great for their sponsor, why would they pull

they pulled him because having him win then get snared in a doping
