  1. Actually my issues are with the seat on a RANS Gliss, but no one will know what that is, and I think the seats are the same. This seat has a single telescoping strut to support the seat back. It has a pinch bolt. The weld is cracked on mine. RANS may replace it, but I think I am interested in moving on to something else that won't break. My local mechanic suggested getting rid of the part with the pinch bolt and using a seperate clamp, as is apparently done on some seat posts these days. Any other ideas? I wonder if the current design on the tandem is the same?

The seat is an older two piece design. After I removed the seat support, I discovered that the joint where the seat back meets the base is loose. These seats have been out there awhile, I would think I am not the first person to encounter this. I haven't pulled the fabric off to expose the joint yet. Is this just a matter of re-riviting, or what?
