  1. Got a birthday coming up and have been dropping hints to SWMBO lately
    about various little pieces of bicycle goodness that would be
    appreciated if they came my way. A Park truing stand was mentioned.

    "A what?" was the reply.

    "A Park Truing stand - for straightening my wheels", I replied.

    "Phew! You spend too much time with that bike. I think that you like it
    more than me. I suppose with a 'truing' stand you'll spend more time
    polishing it's nuts or something, won't you?"

    "No," I replied," I'd be able to tweak it's nipples"

    That shut her up.

    Gah. I'm so jealous. It's just about impossible to convince my husband to
    divulge any gift ideas ... so he's not getting anything this year. I even
    told him as much -- "If you don't give me some idea of what you want, you're
    not getting anything!" -- with no luck.

    Of course, I know he's going to whine anyway.
