Racks and Bars?

If you haven't acquired the bar yet, why would you even consider using a 6'
bar? If you have standard weights you can save them for making dumbbells.
Buy a cheap olympic bar/weight set. Ebay, craigslist or NY Barbells.

An Ivanko 6' bar is 46.5 inches between the sleeves. Might not
fit if the uprights are 45 inches apart. You'd only have 3/4
inch to make it across the supports.

There are quite a few fairly strong and cheap 7' bars if the
weight you'll use never gets above 400 lbs.

If the 6' bar is only an inch in diameter (Standard) there might
be room. I was talking about Olympic bars.

Sort of. The bar will fit, but one of the supports will be resting on the
end of the collar not the bar. So you can use it, but it's a pain.
