🙁
Had a big crash the other day, my front tube had a slow deflate which I didnt notice and hit the deck hard on a fast corner.
My ribs and shoulder feel very very sore, the legs are a bit stiff but basically OK.
Ive been for a few rides this week, but I have no power cos every time I exert force through the headset I'm in agony in my shoulder and ribs.
Should I still race and make the most of it, sit on the back and roll around, should I try to contest the sprint- maybe in the saddle, or just not race at all?
Anyone raced after a crash and done OK?
PS This was my first significant crash, and gheez it hurt - this lady came out of her house (wearing a red flannelette dressing gown and curlers in her her), after hearing me hit the deck and trying to suck in some air - she said are you OK - can I make you a cup of tea???
OMG what a nice thought - a friggin cup of tea is just what I need you silly old bag. What a nice lady, just trying to help in her own way. some of the other rednecks in the area probably would have tried to run me over as well!!
My advice - keep those tyres in tip top condition, the extra few bucks is worth it for avoiding the pain!!
