Sherwen is fond of daying a race has 'blown to pieces' but I haven't
seen a more fragmented peloton by the end of a stage than this one,
except in amateur races:

and I think the TdG stage today beat what I had in here before. Wow.

I've ridden and driven to the top of Brasstown. It's so
steep it's sick. When I drove it I had an econobox Dodge
Colt so there wasn't an excess of horsepower. But I
remember having to drop it into 1st gear on the steepest
pitch to keep it going.
