Hello.
I am shopping around for a half decent mtb, I don't mind used. I'm in
canada, and have a local deal for a used good shape 2000 gt xcr 5000. comes
out to about $450US.
Would someone be kind enough to comment if I'd be getting my moneys worth,
what parts are on it, I think the front shock is Bomber(?). Maybe recommend
something else that's better for the money.

I had an XCR 1000 and loved it until it broke on the seat tube weld. Then 9
months of waiting for warranty replacement from Pacific Cycle (aka pacific
[censored]) which bought GT. The XCR's were notorious for cracking on the seat
tube. Be careful.
