Question about tires

Yeah,slick tires work better if you don't need knobbies. You may also need smaller tubes to go with some of the narrower ones,depending on what you have now.

Hey, if you enjoy riding it, then its better than a lot of $2000 machines that sit in a garage.

As far a going to a smoother tire (semi-slick), here is what I went with

There are plenty of other types available.

Slicks are definitely an improvement. I put a set on my old MTB, and liked it so much I decided to get a decent road bike. The MTB doesn't get much use these days...
