hello everyone,
a couple weeks ago i went to the dermatologist because i had a very
red patch of tender skin on the underside of my penis (on the
foreskin). The doctor recognized it as a yeast infection and
prescribed me some Diflucan, with which i am finished taking. The
Diflucan helped the yeast infection. But my main problem is that
before i had the yeast infection the area that became infected was
already chaffed from masturbation and the top layer of skin was
absent, and there was a more tender and pink area of skin under. I
know that chaffing of the penis from masturbation is normal (since
most of my friends tell me about their chaffage) and that it heals
within a couple days of leaving it alone. But since before this area
could heal i guess it got infected with a yeast infection and i
figured that the skin was not healing back because of the infection.
But now that the infection is gone i am worried that the top layer of
skin still wont grow back since it has been gone for quite a while
because of the yeast infection (which i had for about a year or so
since i didnt know that it was an infection).
Do you think that the skin will grow back even though it has been
absent for quite a while due to an infection? Or will it never grow
back and the very tender under layer of pink skin will always be
exposed? Is there some sort of cream i could put on the area to assist
the healing of the skin? Any help would be greatly appreciated, for
any sexual activity (masturbation, etc.) is very uncomfortable because
of the tenderness of the skin.
Thank you!
