question about shimano sti levers

  1. just bought a set of ultegra sti brake/shifters. the cables from the levers to the downtube stops, looks like they are to long. is it ok to cut and make them shorter. thanks

    They are hawking their own cable cutter, but there are some good suggestions. It is easy to do, but also easy to crush the housing without proper tools & technique.

  4. buy or borrow a real cable cutter. dykes won't do it.
