I just got a new Pacific Cycle Roadmaster 26 inch mens mountain bike and I'm
having a problem that I don't think I've encountered before with a bike. We
the front wheel is turned 30 deg or more the tire is biting into the pedal
and more or less jamming up against it. It's worse when I'm actually riding
cause the tips of my shoes go about 1/2 inch past the edge of the pedal,
which makes the tire bit in more. I talked to a couple of the local bike
shops and they suggest switching from the factory pedals to a smaller,
streamlines pedal that doesn't stick out as far into the tire. Anyone have
any suggestions other than switching out the pedals? And if switching is the
only option, what about brand/style/size recommendations?
