I've been looking for a beaterbike that I can use for a 12 mile round
trip commute to work and back. It cleaned up pretty well, and from what

Get yourself some new brake pads too. Look for Kool Stop brand in
Salmon coloring.

And be sure to check all cables.

Doubtful anyone here has data on Huffy series, though maybe - but if you
tell us what the parts are (derailleurs, hubs - etc) we may be able to
date it for you.
