I have some questions for my general biology course:
1. Which of the following can lead to autoregulatory(by
tissue) increase of blood flow to a tissue?
a. high blood pressure
b.high carbon dioxide concentration
c. high oxygen concentration
d. high ATP concentration
e. high glucose concentration
I know that the when precapillary sphincters open, it will
increase the blood flow to the tissue. what does that
related to this questions?
2. If the stroke volume were held constant, increased
cardiac output could directly be accomplished by
a. increased parasympathetic nerve activity to SA node
b. increased sympathetic nerve activity to SA node
c. inhibition o fAV node
d. increased arterial blood pressure
e. increased muscle pump activity
I guess the answer should be b or e. Fro the following
equation: caridac output= stroke volume * heart rate The
heart rate should increase, but I don't know I should
choose b or
f.
3. The amount of oxygen unloaded from hemoglobin in the
tissues increases when a. PCO2 in tissues increases
b. PO2 decreases I don't know it should be a or b.
Could anyone help me with these? Thank you so much!
