Hi.....I am thinking of purchasing a new bike for casual riding. Looking at the Giant "Cypress" series. My problem is that I have been told to stay away from the "twist grip" shifters and go with the "trigger" shifters instead. Can anyone suggest the pros and cons of each type with regards to ease of use and also maintainence issues?......thanks

Grip shifts are typically inaccurate, difficult to adjust, easy to shift by accident, and unreliable. Trigger shifters are easier to adjust, quick shifting, and crisp. Trigger shifters really are the better choice by a land slide.
