(Thanks for previous advice on child seats and roof racks etc.)
I now intend to buy bikes for me & my wife so that we can spend days out (not too serious) off road cycling with our children (who already have bikes).
I imagine that we are prepared to spend up to £700 on the 2 bikes. Ideally I want bikes light enough to be able to lift on and off a car roof rack; strong enough for off-road and carrying a baby seat; robust enough that they don't need a lot of care.
Can anyone please recommend bikes for us. Specific recommendations would be appreciated - including advice on where to buy as well!
