  1. Having just had the unpleasant experience of having a puncture in a race I am wondering if there is
anything I can do to reduce the risk of a puncture.

I ride with full pressure on the tyres but I am now wondering whether it is worthwhile to put in
tyre liners as I used to do on my mountain bike.

I have also heard that it is worthwhile to put the "anti-puncture" solution into the tubes.

I would love some more opionions on these points.

    Thanks

Tire liners work well. Slime and other addivites work well in my mountain bike tubes, but I've found
them a bit testy in my racing bike tubes. Small punctures are ok, but any larger puncture, and not
only do you not have a sealed tube, but you can't patch it either. My main problem was tubes that
split, leaving large tears that could not be repaired.
